Beekeeping For Beginners Recap
Our Beekeeping for Beginners workshop on April 7th was a huge success, thanks to our Events Chair, Jen Jones! It was a perfect day for learning about the ins and outs of hive maintenance.
The twenty-two beginning beekeepers even had the great luck of finding and capturing a swarm of bees. Special thanks to Bonnie Bolienger for creating this class.

We’re spring cleaning. We are establishing a new bed in front of the fence and will put in a barrier under the dirt to reduce the incursion of crab grass.
Next steps: Weed and Mulch. And weed some more. Primp and plump (and weed) the Herbal Spiral. Spot a location for upcoming wildlife water fountain.
Place temporary labels on each plant as we plan for permanent labels.
Plant native forbs. See the flourishing Pipevine, Clematis, Native Grape, Currant, and more …
Please email if you can come,
Elizabeth Barnet <westmarincommons@svn.net>, or just swing by. Bring gloves and your favorite tools if you have them. Rain or shine.
